Exclusively Baby Nurses prides itself in giving back to the community, by donating the services of Newborn Care Specialists and Baby Nurses to deserving families.
Gentle Ventures (a sister company) is involved with the training and education of Newborn Care Specialists and Baby Nurses. In that vein whenever a student comes to Gentle Ventures for training she must do an internship of between 80 and 160 hours based on her level of experience. This internship is done on a gratis or below minimum pay rate. Each client will be chosen by need and availability of interns.
An intern has taken an extensive 20 - 30 hour class in newborn care. She has been involved in hands on training. Many of the students are already involved in the child care field and many are nannies. The interns each has a mentor she will be in contact with and who will be available for questions you or the intern may have. An intern must have hands on experience with a newborn, before she will be sent out on an intern job. Each intern sent out on a job will be reference and background checked.
Are you pregnant with multiples, having a C-Section, a single mom, are you exhausted from lack of sleep, or do you feel overwhelmed? If you fit any of this criteria and can not afford to pay for a Newborn Care Specialist to come in and help you out, you may qualify for help.
If you are chosen for the intern program, you will be required to evaluate your intern in a written evaluation. You will also have to interview with the intern and her supervisor before the interns duty would begin. You must be able to provide the Newborn Care Specialist a place to sleep if she is doing night duty. This can be a bed or sofa.
Exclusively Baby Nurses also does volunteer work for families with quads, quints or sextuplets (see below). This work is done with Certified Newborn Care Specialist and not interns.

Masche Sextuplets
Exclusively Baby Nurses, along with The Baby Dream Team, was the only Baby Nurse Agency to offer newborn care services to the Masche family when the sextuplets were born. The experience was a true labor of love. All of the Baby Nurse services were graciously donated by Exclusively Baby Nurses, The Baby Dream Team and the individual Newborn Care Specialists. Although the family is no longer in Phoenix, the dedicated Newborn Care Specialist's followed the family to Lake Havasu City to help out for a while longer.
